Effective Education Practices Platform

SUMMA provides the region with a platform of effective educational practices. The platform offers robust evidence on the effectiveness of different educational strategies and interventions. To this end, it presents an approximation of the cost associated with the impact on learning of each of the systematised educational strategies.

SUMMA’s Effective Educational Practices Platform translates and contextualizes the Teaching and Learning Toolkit developed by the Education Endowment Foundation. This tool seeks to support pedagogical decisions that take place both at the public policy level and within educational communities. At the same time, it helps to focus efforts on those practices that scientific evidence produced globally has shown to be effective.

The Platform synthesises evidence for more than 30 strategies that could be used to improve students’ learning processes at the school level.

? This rating provides an overall estimate of the robustness of the evidence, to help support professional decision-making in schools.

? The impact measure shows the number of additional months of progress made, on average, by children and young people who received the intervention, compared to similar children and young people who did not.
